✨ Let’s talk about this Team in depth!

First of all, we want to set a Trick Room.
So Oranguru/Dragapult is a solid powerful Lead, I usually start with these two to deal a big amount of damage thanks to Choice Specs Dragapult and set a Turn 1 Trick Room with Oranguru.
After that Dragapult will probably be defeated, but don’t worry it’s part of the plan. We want to kill or almost kill one of our opponent Pokémon with our Dragapult (Choose the most problematic for our Team, for example I always shoot down Dracovish with Draco Meteor since we outspeed them).
We want to replace Dragapult as fast as we can, so let our opponent do the work for us, they will target our Dragon since it’s always a threat.
We can now enter with our Beastmon Rhyperior to control the field with Dynamax!
arcanine bulldoze arcanine bulldoze
Use Bulldoze with Oranguru to make Rhyperior even slower and activating Weakness Policy, Dynamax to start boosting your Sp.Def even more through the Earth/Rock D-Max Move.
This is perfect against Whimsicott or any Focus Sash Pokémon too since we use Bulldoze to deal cheap damage and hit hard with our +2 Rhyperior.

So here’s the Ideal Turn 1 & Turn 2 as explained. There will be of course some crazy scenario too, but before talking about those let me explain a little bit abouth our other Team Members.

We have Duraludon, we now have learnt that this Pokémon is so good against Hard Trick Room with his Ability that bypass “Follow Me” or any redirection-type move. It’s common to see Hatterene/Indeedee, so don’t lose your nerves and lead with Duraludon/Dragapult to inflict 45% damage to Hatterene with our Flash Cannon Duraludon or 70-75% if Dynamax-Steel & 80-90% to Indeedee with out Draco Meteor Dragapult.
There’s nothing you can really do, but it’s still good. They can’t reply with an hard counter attack so you should be ok.
By the way Duraludon is generic good, I usually bring it in any Battle.

Corviknight is a well known Pokémon that is aroung since day one in this new metagame, so here’s a “Bulk Up” interesting set.
arcanine bulldoze best of arcanine bulldoze
Try to believe, it’s not a situational Pokémon. It’s very good, drop 2 or more Bulk Up and you are pretty much god on the field, combine everything to a possible Rhyperior D-Max Ground Move (+1 in Sp.Def) and here we go.
You have to learn when to use Bulk Up efficiently so keep practice with this Pokémon.
Why not Body Press you could ask… well It’s ok too but I prefer a early powerful STAB Move and the effect of both Flying/Steel Type D-Max, you don’t need a +1 in ATK if you already have Bulk Up for that in the Moveset.

Arcanine, is it good? Maybe not that good. I don’t use Arcanine that much, this Team is already a 1 Week Old so you could prefer a different idea for this last Slot of the Team.
Both Offensive or Defensive Arcanine are genuine cool but not that useful for this Team. Bring it if you are facing an extraordinary team full of Steel/Grass/Dark Pokémon.

I’d recommend to change this Pokémon for a different one, for example why not trying an ever green Gastrodon now that’s more popular or if you want to pumm all out choose a 2nd Beast that abuse the Trick Room, like G-Max Snorlax 😉

Some tips: Don’t be scared of using Flamethrower with Dragapult in Turn 1 against something like Excadrill or Lucario for a 60% damage, this could save you at the end. You should always consider Oranguru’s Bulldoze/Psychic, I KOed so many Pokémon with him!

[Weather Tyranitar/Excadrill] : Fine, the most abused lead but still fine. Go as said Flamethrower & Trick Room and you’ll be ok!

[Weather Pelipper/Barraskewda] : Same energy here too, Barraskewda can kill our Dragapult only with Crunch and only if Life Orb. If you feel worried then go Ally Switch + Shadow Ball/Draco Meteor to 1HKO Barraskewda in Turn 1, then set the Trick Room in Turn 2.

[HARD Trick Room Hatterene/Indeedee] : We already talked about this, you should go Duraludon/Dragapult to almost kill both our opponent Pokémon, then finish them in Turn 2 and try to setup with our Rhyperior too before troubles.

[Trick Room Rhyperior/Torkoal] : Here’s the troubles, well Rhyperior is a threat for us too, he can survive many things & hit badly as we do with ours. Torkoal is a problem too because we don’t have a Slower Pokémon to use against it. So my idea in this scenario is to start with our Rhyperior in Lead if we are facing all Slow Pokémon. We will be Faster even with a Rhyperior and deal big damage at +0 ATK, you should reset the Sunny Weather with our Rock D-Max Move to block Torkoal Solar Beam.
Remember that Torkoal is a good Defensive Pokémon with 140 DEF Base Stat. so treat him properly.

[Combo Whimsicott/Arcanine or Lucario] : Well well, is it a problem? Sure it is but if our opponent use Tailwind to attack First they can’t 1HKO us, if they use Beat Up to gives a +4 ATK they can’t attack before Dragapult. We can’t kill these Pokémon but we can try using Trick Room as always or Ally Switch. I always prefer Trick Room, it’s safier.

[Classic Excadrill/Braviary] : Braviary it’s a good Pokémon but I think that right now his presence in the meta could be slow down a little bit. Excadrill is OP, he doesn’t need Tyranitar because he can set a Sandstorm with his D-Max Move by his own, so what to do?
Pretty much the same, I recommend to hit Excadrill because of an hypothetic Focus Sash but remember that we have Bulldoze too for this Item. So it’s up to you, really.

[Classic Rotom/Arcanine] : They will try to stop our Offensive Potential burning Dragapult, but since we are Special Sweeper we are good, so same strategy. It works fine, just pay attention to Rotom’s “Trick” attack so don’t be scared using Max Guard sometime if necessary.
Rhyperior shot Rotom-W with the Rock D-Max Move, so have fun.

The Meta is evolving fast, but the core idea behind this Team will always be good for the simple reason that it is a TR with WA Rhyperior (that covers many options with his own movepool) so I hope you can have fun with this Team, let me know on Twitter (@Eclipse_TT) and good Ally Switch to everyone ^_^ that’s the real deal!
